Tune in Monday, December 10th at 12 p.m. to hear a fascinating conversation between Vicki St. Clair and John de Graff, award-winning filmmaker.
Conversations Live with Vicki St. Clair airs Mondays at 12 p.m. and Fridays at 6 a.m. each week on Alternative Talk 1150.
“John de Graaf is one of the good guys in our world, always right there with the next important, life-affirming idea,” recently said The Giraffe Project’s, Ann Medlock.
Beginning in the late 70’s, John de Graaf embarked on an award-winning, documentary film career. He’s now a Seattle icon and a giant in the documentary field with over 40 films to his name.
De Graaf joins Vicki live in KKNW’s studio when they’ll discuss his activism through film. They’ll explore how he chooses projects, lessons he’s learned along the way, and how he’s navigated his own creative path while continuing to make a huge difference. Find out what the biggest turning points in his career were, which films impacted him the most. . .and why.
“I’m an author, filmmaker, speaker, and activist with a mission to help create a happy, healthy, and sustainable quality of life for America,” reads John’s mission statement.
He has received over 100 regional, national, and international awards for filmmaking. Fifteen of his films were broadcast nationally, in prime-time on PBS, and he has taught filmmaking at the University of Washington, Evergreen State College, and Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
