American Road Trip Talk

Fridays 1pm-1:30pm

Fridays, 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Join Thomas and Becky Repp as they team up with Gary Mantz to bring you a new road trip adventure each week. American Road Trip Talk is your chance to discover the backroads that embody true Americana.

As the owners and producers of award-winning American Road magazine, Thomas and Becky want your future road trip to be both interesting and exciting. By teaming up with veteran radio broadcaster, Gary Mantz, they offer up valuable road trip planning information.

Thomas is the Executive Editor and driving force behind American Road. Nicknamed “The Hugh Hefner of Highways,” he is a celebrated writer, skilled photographer, and inquisitive historian. For decades, he has traveled America’s highways and byways, writing about the fascinating people and places he encounters. You might find Thomas chasing Henry David Thoreau around Cape Cod, John Steinbeck along Route 66, Mack Sennett up Hollywood Boulevard, or the Vernors Gnome down Detroit’s Woodward Avenue. You could say travel reporting is part of Thomas’ DNA.

Becky co-founded American Road with Thomas in 1998. Since 2002, Becky has served as General Manager for American Road magazine, a glossy publication devoted to promoting and communicating the joys of traveling America’s scenic and historic back roads. Becky sits on the board of the National Scenic Byway Foundation—a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance byways and amplify the voice of the national byway community. It is the only national organization dedicated to this purpose.

For his part, Gary is a well-known radio host to fans of Alternative Talk 1150. Together with Suzanne Mitchell, he has hosted hundreds of Mantz and Mitchell episodes on the station.

So sit back and buckle up…because another edition of American Road Trip Talk is rounding the corner!
