Join the conversation and join the fun as the Talk Cosmos Leo Moonbeam Team takes to the airwaves Saturday, August 1st at 6 p.m. (repeats Thursday, August 6th at 6 a.m.)!
The Talk Cosmos Leo Moonbeam Team discusses both the Aquarius Full Moon Aug 3 ( Aug 4 EDT) and the Leo New Moon Aug 18. The full moon in Leo is called by the ancient Celts, Lunar Lammas, or first harvest because it was a time of gathering and of abundance. This holiday marks the mid-point between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox. Its fullness and fulfillment of the present harvest already holds at its very heart the seed of all future harvest. The Old Farmer’s Almanac honors the Native American Moon names used during colonial times to track the seasons and refers to it as the Full Sturgeon’s Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer. Other names for this Full Moon include ”Full Green Corn Moon,” signaling that the corn was nearly ready for harvest, “Wheat Cut Moon,” “Moon When All Things Ripen,” and ”Blueberry Moon.”
Moonbeam Team astrology members Elizabeth Muschett of Camano Island and Sara Stromley of Redmond Washington join show host Sue Rose Minahan to better understand what we might release during the Aug 3 Full Moon to prepare us manifesting our capacity for the Leo New Moon. At the half-hour, Liz presents a numerical interpretation linking the astrology energy for the Full Moon and New Moon’s degree and Sara tells about a botanical or other essence significant for the archetype energy because traditionally, the moon’s used for agriculture needs. Liz Muschett of “A Light Path”, co-authored Gateways to Change 2018 and Beyond: Keys to Navigating the Seas of Life Using Numerology and Astrology. Sara Stromley, a Cranial Sacral Therapist founded “Brain Body Therapy.”
