Vicki St. Clair, host of Conversations Live with Vicki St. Clair, is welcoming Tom Nissley to her show December 5th from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. to discuss great holiday gift ideas surrounding reading and books.
Nissley is owner of Phinney Books in Seattle, one of the region’s last independent book stores. Besides a book devotee, Nissley was a Jeopardy finalist, winning eight games and becoming the 3rd biggest money winner in the history of the show. That money allowed him to quit his 10-year job as part of Amazon’s book team, and write his own book. Then he opened Phinney Books two years ago and now lives just eight blocks from the store.
“We make a special effort to have interesting reading in fiction, kids’ books, essays, history, cookbooks, music, technology, cities, nature and science, graphic novels, diaries, and letters. We also sell a selection of paper goods, puzzles, toys, games, and chocolates, and we’ll always have lots of NYRB Classics on hand,” said Nissley.
During her weekly show, St. Clair brings listeners inspiring and stimulating conversations with innovative business leaders, cutting edge medical and health professionals, authors, filmmakers, journalists, adventurers. She also interviews ordinary people, leading extraordinary lives.
