*Lyle Quasim, Chair, Tacoma/Pierce County Black Collective comments on the progress of the over 50 year old organization that has the Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards, Congresswoman Mayor Strickland, State Senator T’wina Nobles, and other elected and appointed officials from the Puget Sound region on the zoom/call most Saturday mornings.
*Shaude’ Moore, Chair, Seattle Martin Luther King Jr. Organizing Coalition will provide an update on the organizations efforts to observe the 40th Anniversary of the first MLK March in Seattle. Volunteers are needed for the January 16, 2023 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday at Seattle’s Garfield High School. Information at www.seattlemlkcoalition.org.
*Hayward Evans, Co Convener, Seattle/Martin Luther King Jr. County Celebration Committee is one of the Seattle MLK Organizing Coalition Opportunity Fair committee members. He will comment on how you can get involved in the event at Garfield High School on January 16, 2023.
*Christina VanMiddlesworth, Chair, Seattle MLK Organizing Coalition’s Opportunity Fair. The event that has employers, government agencies, and private employers come the morning of the January 16, 2023 MLK event at Garfield High School with information about job openings. The committee has established supportive services, like resume’ enhancement for potential employees.
