The US National Institutes of Health define the Biofield as “A “mass-less field, not necessarily electromagnetic that surrounds and permeates living bodies and affects the human body.” Biofield therapies are noninvasive therapies in which the practitioner explicitly works with a client’s Biofield or “energy field” (interacting fields of energy and information that surround living systems) to stimulate healing responses in others.
