*Hayward Evans, Co Convener, Seattle Martin Luther King Jr. County Commemoration Committee (MLKCC) comments on the 60th Anniversary of the August 28, 1963 March on Washington DC for Jobs and Freedom and the plans for the Seattle area on August 28, 2023.

*Reverend Dr. Linda Smith, Pastor, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Baptist Church in Renton WA is the former Pastor of Sky Church in Renton, she is an author, Racial, Equity, Justice and Prophetic Leadership Coach and Consultant at Seattle University School of Theology and has been a leading advocate for the city’s homeless population.

*Lem Howell, Civil Rights Attorney Emeritus was known as a “Knight in Shinning Armor” during his practice his landmark lawsuits in Washington State has made him a legend and arguably one one of the best civil rights attorneys in the United States. He was the lead counsel for the Central Contractors Association in 1969 where he prevailed and forced the trade unions to open their doors to minorities.

*Raymond Miller, NAACP Area Conference (Alaska, Oregon, Washington) Armed Services and Veteran Affairs Chairman, he also serves as Chair of the Sam Bruce Chapter (Seattle) Tuskegee Airmen and is a member of the Seattle Martin Luther King Jr. August 28 60th Anniversary Planning Committee.

*Lewis Rudd, President & CEO, Ezell’s Famous Chicken is giving back to the Black Community with his The Rudd’s R.U.B.B. Initiative- Raising Up Black Businesses. The precedent-setting initiative is designed to empower Black owned businesses and help them achieve financial success.
