When lots of external things come at us all at once, we can feel out of control and that we have to “put out fires” everywhere in order to be okay. This week, Tawny and JDK wonder aloud if we are setting ourselves up for unnecessary stress by how we label the challenges that happen unexpectedly. What if they weren’t “fires” but, instead, were just something that happens as a regular part of life? How does our labeling of things work – and work against us instead of for us?
