He is professor of bioethics at Princeton Univ. and now spends part of each year at the University of Melbourne, in Australia, where he is Laureate Professor.

11/23/17 “Mirror Touch: Notes from a Doctor Who Can Feel Your Pain,” with Dr. Joel Salinas
Challenging our understanding of what it means to be human, Joel Salinas, a Harvard-trained researcher and neurologist at Massachusetts General, shares his experiences with mirror-touch synesthesia, a rare and only recently identified neurological trait that causes him to feel the emotional and physical experiences of other people. Salinas refers to his condition as a kind of compulsory mindfulness, a heightened empathic ability that offers him invaluable clues about how to see and live the world through other people’s perspectives.

For his part Eldon Taylor is an award winning New York Times best-selling author of over 300 books and audio/video programs, and is the host of the popular syndicated radio show, Provocative Enlightenment. Eldon has earned doctoral degrees in both clinical and pastoral psychology and is a Fellow in the American Psychotherapy Association as well as a certified Master Chaplain.

Assisting on all levels of the show is Ravinder Taylor, co-host who also holds a B.Sc. degree in microbiology from Aberystwyth University in Wales, a Bachelors degree in Metaphysics from the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, Arizona, has studied hypnosis and psychotherapy at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in London, England, and is an ordained interdenominational minister.
