Ashley Fontaine is Executive Director of NAMI Seattle — National Alliance on Mental Illness. 1 in 5 Americans lives with a mental health condition. NAMI has many great programs, peer-to-peer programs to help those with mental health conditions and their families. Education and awareness are key. One way is to join and support the NAMIWalk on Saturday morning June 3 in Kirkland. Also we can ask our legislators to support this bill: http://namiseattle.org/news/51-contact-your-legislators-about-shb-1377-for-student-mental-health With the proposed cuts to the ACA, there will be major cuts to mental health care.
