Our guests this week are Kay Joubert and Whitney Allen from PAWS. PAWS is the Progressive Animal Welfare Society and they have been helping and advocating for pets in Seattle for more than 45 years.
The Companion Animal Adoption program at PAWS helps people make the perfect match with a pet that suits their household, lifestyle and personality. While awaiting adoption, many animals are housed off-site by foster parents. Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in their own King County and Greater-Snohomish area homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for up to three months.
Also on the agenda is the annual PAWSWalk, scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at Marymoor Park in Redmond.
