The 17th ranked Cornhuskers used a stifling defense and a grind it out running game to down Iowa, 13-7 last Friday (11/23/12). The Huskers (7-1 in conference play, 10-2 overall) held the Hawkeyes to just 200 yards, and kept Iowa off the scoreboard over the final 45 minutes to pick up their sixth consecutive victory. With the win, the Huskers will play for their third conference title in four years, when they take on Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game next Saturday in Indianapolis. For all of us here at Alternative Talk 1150, we would like to thank the Washington Cornhuskers for another great year of Big Red football, and wish Nebraska the best in post season play – so Go Big Red!
